About
Under Seven Skies is the flagship enterprise of visual and graphic artist Lucy Ridsdale. Inspired by the possibility of integrating small business with creative practice and spiritual and sustainable values, Lucy has launched Under Seven Skies as "a kind of enterprise 2.0 where collaboration, mutuality and enriching community and place have superseded the old world view where business meant everyone for themselves."
Lucy has lived, work and studied in Australia and Europe in the past ten years and brings to her work a passion for embodied spirituality; the the integration of professional life with deep humanity; and creating sustainable, intelligent systems in every area of life. She works in a variety of media including oil paint, paper collage, water colour, gouache, ink and photography and hasn't yet a fixed style.
She says yay for: dancing, creating, speaking foreign tongues, unreasonableness, transformed leadership, beautiful design, glorious mistakes, riding the Tempest, things that last, permaculture, Love-Give and singing with the whole body. And chocolate bullets. And coffee at Gino's.
She says boo to: stuckness, rigid thinking, being stopped by fear, unripeness, getting her shoelace stuck in bike pedals, uninspired leaders, power-over and ungraciousness.
